Why you should throw out your TV!!!

Standard TV Diet - Murder, Violence, and Suffering
The News - War, Disaster, and Suffering
Talk shows - Gossip and Slander
Sports - Winners vs. Losers
Commercials - Lack, Need, and Imperfection
The Solution - No TV
I have seen children raised without TV and with and the difference is remarkable (sure there are other factors but there was something a little disturbing about hearing a four year old wanting a particular brand of shoe).
I got rid of my TV years ago - just watch DVDs and use the internet - I don't miss it in the least.

Yes. I didn't find any reason to spend hours with it every day.
I seen it as when a good purpose (have fun, enjoyment, adventures, and stuff) Go wrong ( sit and don't move basically..).

I concur with these super-wise people.
Mindless channel Surfing is probably the worst thing you could do with your time.
I just uploaded an ebook about the negative effects of TV. The related stats in the book are almost ridiculous to the point of being not funny.

I do not watch TV for one and a half year already. At first I was extremely astonished that I actually have not become less informed or less educated, which was a (false) fear of getting rid of TV. I remember years ago having found people who have told me to stop watching TV strange. Now, I believe to be more open minded and less manipulated than people who still watch TV. The tables are turned; now I have a hard time to explain someone why I am not watching TV and people listen to me with lack of understanding, however they still listen
