It's actually recording from live-show in front of an audience. The words and metaphores he uses are so empowering and encouraging.

Think and Grow rich is The best and Ultimate every successful people implemented the principles it says most of them have those naturally with out reading that book.

I've tried a lot of different programs, a few that I found helped me a lot were:

Anthony Robbins - Personal Power II & Get the Edge (where I started, great motivator)
Dale Carnegie - How to Win Friends & Influence people.
Edward DeBono - How to Have a Beautiful Mind.
Abraham Hicks - Ask and it is Given audiobook set (Terrific if you are interested in the law of attraction, This is the proper explanation of The Secret)
Deepak Chopra - Peace is the Way (Very good for understanding the notion of self/other and compasion)
Hale Dwoskin - The Sedona Method (I got this book out from the library and had to return it early, very promising though)
Too many others to list at the moment.

Currently Reading the 48 Laws of Power which I can't recommend enough! It's really awesome.

One thing that I will say is that in my experience so far, it is pretty amazing what you can find when you look away from the books or programs that are typical 'self-help' and instead try and find people studying in the field with new material scholars or otherwise. David DeAngelo offers many fine examples
