New perspectives

I recommend traditional 1970s and 1980s self help books. Especially Chris Kleinke Meeting and understanding people. David d. Burns Intimate Connections, Gerald M. Phillips Help for shy people or Jonathan Cheeks Conquering shyness. New books is Paul Jenners teach yourself Confidence and social skills. Think about it we live in a postmodern society where most of the things we know about human interactions already is published in print earlier.
I obviously see problems with interacting and connecting with women as part of a bigger picture that also involves insecurity and lack of self-confidence in social situations. The best way is to go out there and have as many encounters with strangers as possible.

I like David Portney`s book Super confidence with woman 30 days program or Style`s 30 day challenge because they are practical and applicable. I think the Pickup community sells overpriced products. The "theories" and "seduction science" is not based on real science. The person`s selling the products lack professional integrity. Much of the advice is misleading or contradictory to other advice. Many of the theories is made up out of thin air with little empirical backing. Marketers uses deceptive techniques to sell their products. Overall i recommend people to buy 70s or 80s self-help books about social skills/shyness because these is designed to help you and not rip you off.
