Toolbox for success
Whatever your goal is, you will need to master the Fundamentals Basics to get success.
The Principles Of Your Toolbox
These basics are like a toolbox, there are a lot of tools in it, and every one is useful but not necessary in every situation. These tools will give you the knowledge you need, to understand your behaviors and be able to reach your goals no matter what.
But this toolbox will fill in with time and experience, so there is one thing you really need to understand at the very beginning of your journey:
Imagine yourself during your journey to success, doing a very good job, making progress, seeing results in whatever you decided to go in, but one day, you fail with your daily goals.
It might be because it’s a situation you’re not used to, it could be because you met new friends, because of a new job, etc… This happens because your toolbox is too light and you have not the tool you need for this specific situation. This is very important to understand that your journey to success will encounter failures!
And why that? Because you don’t have all the tools yet to be prepared to every possible situations! One failure can blow up all your efforts if you’re not aware about the toolbox, and the moment you fail, you feel so depressed, and see yourself so much like a failure that it’s very difficult for you to continue and very often, you give up.
It’s absolutely normal to give up when you don’t know why you failed. The only thing you see in this moment is: “I’m a failure, I have no will power. I will never be able to do it!”
Knowledge Is Essential
But let me tell you something, this is not will power here, this is just knowledge! If you’re aware that you need time to have your toolbox heavier with the good tools at the right time, and be able to use it well, you won’t give up! You will know this is part of the journey.
So, instead of giving up and blaming yourself, use this experience to create a new tool and learn more about it, in observing your behaviors and the situations. Like that, the next time you will encounter the same situation, you will be well prepared and in better position to face the situation.
I’m not saying that the next time you will encounter this situation you will have no problems! Because very often, it takes time to create a tool and to know how to use it. Patience is really an asset you will need to achieve your goals and you can learn more about it in the article Patience, A Key For Success.
A journey to success isn’t a straight line! You will learn about new tools every single day! And that is what makes this journey so SHINY! It’s because you will understand so much things that it won’t be an effort anymore to make your dreams come true!
The Fundamentals Basics are the tools you will master in order to reach your goals. But you have to know that a toolbox is never full. You will always learn new skills and this is great because it’s life! Learn every day something is so great, it would be so sad to learn nothing more from past one’s prime.
Your toolbox is more or less full right now, but the good news is that here at shinyjourney.com, you will fill it every days with new tools. Like this, days after days you will become stronger and stronger, better and better, and then it will become easier and easier!
One Tool At A Time
Now, you know how your journey will look like: full of learning from your experiences and mastering new skills!
But you have to know that in general, people succeed better when learning one tool at a time. In most cases, when you struggle with a situation, it’s hard to resolve another one in the same time. I don’t say you can’t do it, but I recommend to go by baby steps!
Baby Steps are the secret to success! If you go at your own pace and take your time to really understand what happens in your head, why did you act like this in this situation, how did the failure happened, the job is almost done.
Sometimes, you will learn the new tool at the first failure, but sometimes you will need more time and more failures to stand back to the situation and be able to understand it. By the way, I will explain you what really means the word failure in the article: What A Failure Is And How To Interpret It.
The Distance
The Distance is really the key to fill in your toolbox. I could manage to create new skills thanks to Distance!
I was writing my experiences to explain other people how it was going for me, and while I was writing I could stand back for a while and really see so clearly what was the problem. Whereas just a few minutes ago, when I was thinking about the same situation I lived, I was unable too see it that way. It was just confusion and a big black in my head with the thinking “You’re a failure, it’s too hard for you, other can ban you can’t ”.
When I did this discovery, this totally changed my life!
I could understand that I was not a failure, I saw that the situation was complex for me and I could see myself in this situation from another viewpoint, like it was somebody else. Writing is really a good way to stand back but I will go much further in this subject in another article.
Now you have all the things you need to know about the toolbox for success. I hope you really understand my point and see that just to be aware of the toolbox is 50% of your future success!
Please, make us share your own experience, how did it happen for you, did you know about the toolbox?
