Tonyrobbins - Hip Hop Owner??

No fair point it may influence people etc and Im all for people improving themselves. Im also glad that 4everlearner posted it cos its interesting to see.

However, I just think the way he comes across is disingenuous. I really doubt that he listens to Tupac etc and I think that comes across in his subcommunication, it just strikes me as when someone is talking down to people or children I also think that as a result it can have a negative effect in that people can be turned away from improving themselves because they believe this self help stuff is nonsense that snake oil salesman are pushing. I guess the difference between us is that you think it shows him being diverse, but I see it as him trying to be diverse but failing...like when a politician goes on a talkshow and raps to try and make himself look cool.

Also, if you look on a lot of Hip Hop forums they almost all have 'Think and Grow Rich' and often 'Think and Grow Rich: A Black Choice' (specifically to deal with the problems that ethnic minorities or people from low income backgrounds may face) which is pretty awesome. The Hip Hop community is imo the most business savvy area of the music industry atm. I doubt Tony Robbins is going to be the kind of individual to inspire an urban youth, perhaps 50 cent (who has made $500 million dollars) would be more appropriate for the individuals you refer to

Anyways that is my 2 cents.

Either way you look at it and no matter how you may view his approach he is rich and successful! And of course there are going to be negative people out there that can try to over read a situation instead of looking at the positive, but that's what makes him more successful than all the people that criticize. I do appreciate your "2 cents", thats what makes this world so unique is because we all have our own views on life, but what's make you happy and successful is by reading a situation and use the positive out of that in your own life.
