The Pursuit of Happyness

The Pursuit of Happyness

About the movie:
It is based on the true story of Christopher Gardner, a family man struggling to make ends meet, the film takes some liberties with Gardner's actual story. Starring Will Smith as Chris Gardner and Smith's real-life son Syre Smith as Gardner's son Christopher, The Pursuit of Happyness follows Gardner's struggles to break into the stock brokerage business as an intern, despite a rocky financial situation.

About this scene:
This is the ending, when he is being told that he got the job. The emotions can be seen clearly on Smith's face. Lovely scene, Very nicely done by Will Smith.

I watched the movie and was kind of disappointed.

It is a touching description of a man with nothing struggling for a better life - but in the end the values that are held high are money, money and money. This makes me a bit sad..

I am sure there is more to life. :)

"... We always see what we want to see."

There is a strong wish & drive in the main character to succeed in life no matter what challenges he faces.
This is what I think was the main message that this movie wanted to bring to us.

But you know what, in spite of what the message is or what you see or interpret the message to be, I really don't like the fact that people who are very close to can't or don't stand by you when you probably need them most. You have to prove to almost everyone...(it should not include the nearest ones...)
