I've studied this phenomena a bit we call deja vu. There has been empirical scientific research done and the consensus seems to be that it is an anomaly of memory related to neuronal mis-timing.

There may be a better, more satisfying explanation...

How about this:

In NLP there is the idea you get 'that which you focus on', in other words you start to 'sort' for those types of experiences, events, people and interests.

Guess what, if you're negative you find negative things in your life, and happily the converse is also true...I hope this makes sense to you.

I think the great Henry Ford put it better:

'If you think you can, or you think you can't...you're right!'

Common and by itself it means nothing imo. Simply go "interesting" when it happens and move on.

Actually, if you want something badly, you will see it coming true. It has happened to me on more than one occasion. This is not deja-vu. Probably when you want something badly, you tend to be more focussed, which would explain the phenomena.

Hey now whether you believe in this or not ..... This could fall under the laws of attraction. Which simply states that every is a magnet and we attract what we want. Now I have to say that i believe this just because, the same thing has happened to me.
Also for example: it kind of reminds me of how people pray, you pray hoping that you'll get what you pray for will happen.
