Positive thoughts for 9/11 10th Anniversary

Would like users to post their positive thoughts, quotes, media, etc., for the upcoming 10th Anniversary of the tragedies that occurred on September 11, 2001. Hard to believe it has already been a full decade. But I like to think that every day spent in healing is a step closer to strength. And of course it helps if others are in the same line of stride and struggle.

My first offering is this, Bette Midler's "From a Distance," ironically a sentiment about unity and the ludicrousness of hatred and war made famous during the Persian Gulf War twenty years ago. The Soviet Union had just collapsed; Germany was finally a single nation once more, and the Bush family patriarch -- Reagan's veep -- was in the midst of his sole term in office as President. A decade later his son's administration would involve the country in a hugely unpopular, controversial, and costly war (financially and more so of human casualty), ostensibly to protect the primary natural resource (oil) that made his family so rich and allowed the Bushes gateway to their Washington dynasty (Jethro Bodine with "Texas tin"), and in the same geographic location after a surprise attack on U.S. soil very similar to that other Day of Infamy now seventy years old this year...
