Please help me in stammering issue

I just learned that the new reality TV show (not sure if it is out yet)- Breakthrough with Tony Robbins involves a guy with a stammer! It could be worth checking out. From going through a TR audio book he mentions briefly that when working with people who stammer he gets them to sing the word / words they are having trouble with. This creates both a pattern interupt and installs a new pattern. This is an important step in cutting through the limiting belief associated with having a stammer for a long period.

Relaxation is also an area to look into.

If I were you I would start there and perhaps find yourself an NLP trained therapist or coach with expertise working with individuals who block & stutter.

I was myself one like you. Then i got tired of the problem ... i could not move ahead in life ... i did 2 things:

1. Stopped caring for it. Forget it.

2. Takeup situations where you need to talk a lot. Initially it was very ackward for me. Like in school - i took part in dramas. Then when i joined work...i took up training others in techinical subjects in software engineering.

Try to outsmart it. Thats the mantra. Do what ever distracts you from it.

Now i have over come my problem to the extent of 98%. There is always a situation or two ... when even normal people stutter and so do i.

[BTW...There is a guy in Bangalore, India who advertizes for the cure http://www.stammeringcurecentre.com...he says he is former stutterer who has overcome the problem]
