Mumble - SMV Starting Guide
Easiest tutorial:
1) Install mumble from here: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/mumble/Mumble/1.2.0/Mumble-1.2.0.exe?use_mirror=kent
2) Click on server -> connect -> Add new... (or custom servers for older version) then enter these details:
Address: self-development.no-ip.info
Port: 64738 (it's default)
Username: (your SMV name)
3) After you succesfully conected please click on audio-> mute self when it's not your turn to speak, when it's your turn click on audio -> mute self again to unmute yourself
(TIP: You know if you are talking ifthe lips near your name turn red)
So far mumble seems to be the best solution for now, since Skype can't handle too many people. Skype will be used for chat purpose since Mumble has limited chat usage. Please note that we didn't test it yet with large groups of people, but we expect it will go smoothly
Pro's:
+Good Sound quality
+Easy to set up
+Light and stable
Con's:
-Poor chat ability (use skype for this purpose)
Hosting Issues:
1.I'm looking for a good free host. I've found one, it says no limitations, i'm to waiting for their response.
2.If the first hosting solution fails we could use any existing empty server/channel from http://free-mumble.com/index.php?l=en .I cannot create a mumble server there because it's FULL now. Look at the specifications:
- FREE server!
- From 100 to 500 slots.
- All codecs available.
- A connection to 100mb/s for servers.
- The professional tools at your disposal.
- You receive your server IMMEDIATELY.
- No limit creation server (except the intervening 12 hours).
- Use of unique Mumble VCF system.
3. Run Murmur (Mumble server) on a PC with good internet connection.
Recording Issue *FIXED*
Current People that record: Viktorados and DS

Now you are in the SMV Conference. This is how the conference is organized:
Conference Call Rules:
1) 5 minutes before the start, a group chat with #selfmadevip.com# skype group is launched, where questions and rules are posted, a list of active/passive participants is formed and speaking order is posted in the chat
2) after a speaking order is agreed, conference host begins to read the questions and announces the next
user who will answer them (according to the order list)
3) a list of topic related questions is usually prepared 1-2 days before the conference call
4) if some interesting questions arise during the conference call - they can be posted in the chat, and will be announced by the moderator right away (later on he will resume with the prepared ones)
Speaking rules:
1) whenever the participant has finished talking, he/she says "OUT", so that other members will know when to continue
2) at the end of his/her own speech every participant has to sum up his ideas in one sentence
3) when leaving the conference call, every member is given 1-2 minutes to sum up in a couple of sentences, what valuable ideas did they receive from it and how will they benefit from this call

Looks well done.
The only thing which remains would be the recording tool which could record from audio mix

Here is the FAQ:
http://mumble.sourceforge.net/FAQ#Recording
If you login from another computer and use it to record only input sounds.
Many people use Mumble for podcasting/radio because of it's high quality and low latency, and we realize that some people want to record their conversation on Mumble for these types of purposes.
On Windows this is fairly simple, there are many different programs that can capture audio. Audacity is a good program for doing this. Many people just use a spare computer they have and login to the Murmur server and set Audacity to record "What U Hear".
My ideas to record so far:
- Use virtual audio cable
- Use the second audio board i have integrated in my keyboard
- Try the Vista double record thing
- Last Option: Use my spare Computer
