Losing motivation and focus after few days... please advise.

Hello, I am having trouble sticking to my goals(learning programming language for example). After I choose a goal, for few days I am really doing my best to achieve it, but after a while(few days in my case), I lose all focus and motivation. Is there a course, book that you can recommend me to read or view?

I am sorry if this is posted in wrong sub-forum. Thanks in advance everyone.

Hi there,
It is interesting as i had the same problem as you 2 years ago.
I needed to learn a programming language too.And i was procrastinating a lot.
But after i settled somethings with my self, i learned C,C++,java,python,html,Orange.
My learning curve had increased dramaticaly.I now study at computer science, i work for a economic software company for extra money, i develop software for apple/mac os , mainly small games.
I enjoy a 6 % body fat (i was about 25 percent 2 years ago).There are plenty more i personally achieved but that is not the point
Believe in the success books, they are right.But the majority of them , even the classics, do not consider mentioning all the variables needed for success or for law of attraction to work.

The problem was that my subconscious was sabotaging my progress.
There were lots of beliefs in my unconscious mind which worked at the backround and were against my goals.
Just think that 90 percent of our daily decisions comes from our subconscious beliefs.
Although you may read lots of ebooks which will help, you need to do the excercises in them as it is one way of impressing to the subconscious.
Distraction,Concentration in everyday life comes from the subconscious and what you generally believe.
Confidence,positive mental state,Self discipline , everything lies deep in there.
Will power is always needed but you have learn the habit of the mental state of it.
If you convice your subconscious the right way , you will have naturally better Concentration,focus, increased learning abilities and so...

So , first of all i did a conscious destruction of myself.I question lots of beliefs in myself and i erased them as most of them(or maybe all of them )comes from external impression and not from my investigation.Beliefs like learning is difficult, life is a struggle,the point of life is to survive, money is bad,i have to be better person in order to do this or that..(all these are wrong beliefs) blah blah blah.
Basically i do a mistake here.These beliefs are not wrong.They are just creating a reality for me that i am not happy with.So i just change them in ones i find that they can create the reality i want for myself.

As i created new beliefs about practicing, which enhanced the practice process in everything i loved practicing.So gaining skills afterwards was easy.(I call it hard play, not hard work)
.I practiced concentration,visualization,speed reading,emotion control,meditation,memory techniques which i found from occult sources , but there are plenty of them through internet sites.

Essential:
You need to have an intention.Intention is everything.You need to know exactly what you want,be as specific as possible(again it helps your subconscious), have the exact outcome you want in your mind and be absolutely unattached to it.Be sure to tell your self the benefits of achieving it,the whys behind it.
You have to impress your subconscious everyday with your goals.It afraids change so you have to convince it everyday with positive emotion about what you want to achieve.
You have to do some activity like walking, workout and so to increase your energy.You brain is physical part of yourself.Through exercise it gives dramatic increase in the performance of the mental processes.
You have to keep yourself from being exposed to too much media.
You have to meditate at least once a day for 20 minutes plus doing some relaxation techniques.(change brings tension , that tension builds trapped energy and you may feel like you are going to explode.so relaxing and meditating is absolutely essential for me at least:) )
You have to inspire yourself everyday with reading books or quotes.
You have to learn how your subconscious works,what the traps are,what it uses to sabotage yourself.
You have to learn to use your Inner Critic in a positive way.
You have to learn to use beliefs in your way.Nlp practices, self hipnosys , brainwave.
You have to increase Concentration and lessen Distractions.

Know that you are the creator of everything in your life,even if you are not aware of it.BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT DON' T YOU?

Being Creative is essential.Be Creative with what you read from books.They have general guides for all people but you need to make it "custom" to your self.The reality is that we do not have the same beliefs,assosciations, impressions, emotions about life and its activities.So each person needs to make adjustments in order to get his wanted results.I personally find myself doing lots of adjustments with affirmations.
Affirmations for example like,"i am rich", is doomed to fail in the most situations.
As an affirmation it lucks lots of variables.You need to make affirmations that you believe.
For example, i find myself actually going through the needed "boring" process of something when i say ,
to myself,
"It is not that hard" or "hey, subconscious monkey i am talking to you,you better work for me now and you will get your banana as soon as i finish this project".
It can be hilarious but it works for me because of the beliefs and the assosiations i have made through my life.

Truth is that you even can make yourself following your goals if you use your own mind as you already know.You know you can.I know you can.You exist.Your are a human being.You are extremely valuable.You are unique, in the way you use your mind,in the way you talk,feel,walk....You are unique in everything..BUT YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT DON' T YOU?
So be authentic and unique,self responsible.
Remember, you are an actor,you are not a character as they want you to believe.
You write your own story.YOU KNOW IT.
But Mass control techniques have made people to look outside of their selfs .So being the creator of their own life, especially the process and the emotion of creating... is strange to them,they are not used to it, the subconscious is not used to it.
See in your mind , feel in your mind what you want to achieve, what feelings will you have once you achieved it, what obstacles do you have in your way and how can you overcome them, what can you do when you feel down, how can you manage external impressions(friends,parents, relatives, workmates, media).Thats a small fraction about what is means for you to be the creator, the planner.
It is strange at first as you may not be used to truly create and somewhat control the variables needed for you to succceed.But go through it.Do not afraid of planning and creating.If you do change the beliefs you have about it.They do not want you to be a ruler of your life.Why would they want that?Think.
It is the feeling(feeling created reality), the understanding of true self-responsibility that holds a huge account for my personal success.

Never feel self pity about yourself or because others made you, Never.It is a trick, a trap.Just accept and continue forward.
Just because you may procrastinated about learning a new language a bit ,or because you did not made as you may have thought is not a reason to quite.Failure is a feedback you soldier!You surely know much more than once you started.Two steps forward , one step back,two steps forward , one step back......
Life can be a conquest.Do not give so much emotion and power to the small battles you may lost.
Learn from them , take feedback and continue.It is a Conquest.Do not take prisoners(emotions about failure or other unwanted).Make the habit of being in the mental state of a Strategist,Captain.

Thats why i recommend a book like undoing yourself.It is strange , but it undo the most programming they have put inside our minds.
Beware of memes and myths.


Why i am writing all these?Because in order for to go through your goals consistenly you do not need only a tip from a book or a system.You need a another view of life,a small philosophy.Otherwise you may find that your success will be temporary.

You can find them on internet sites to download them(except chris cade stuff which needs a small membership.but it is absolutely amazing stuff).
If you need further help, you came to the right place(selfmadevip).There are amazing people here and the resources you can find can make you almost superhuman if you use them.Just believe hard enough.

Remember everyday/almost allday to impress your mind with your Goals.Our mind forgets about the importance of them.
Accept that.Accept that you need to do the above because your are a human being and that is your nature.Sometimes we humans do not impress,remind ourselves with our goals and we procrastinate even making the simple excercises that will lead us to our goals.Maybe it is doubt, fear but i find that simply we are getting bored even after one day of doing the excersices.Maybe because our emotions are not strong enough as the previous day we do not "feel" right to go ahead to your daily activities about reaching your intentions.But that is key.That indifference you need only to surpass nothing more.That is the obstacle.Your subconscious is asking for confirmation.Go ahead , even if you do not feel it right and do what you have to do.It will be convinced and in the following days it will become used to go through goals.See?
That is the real secret to me...
Once you get used to operating in the process of goal setting and going after them,once you get used to the desicion making progress...... , then and only then true success will be yours as you are the tool to success.
You see, having the tools, for example, you know that you need to go through goals and you need to think of that and that and that , it is not the same as being the tool.You will become a super achiever if you make the process a natural aspect of yourself as even you were born with that.

Imagine that you are thirsty.That is a unconscious operation.What do you do?You go after a glass of water.Its a major priority.You will search to find it without fail.There is not failure there.If you do not have a bottle there, you will go out.You will make ways to find water.Do you really think about failing?Or about procrastinating, or do you need in getting motivated to go out for a bottle of water
?
I do not think so.You will succeed.

The posts though above are bit incomplete without mentioning a few traps/tips.

When i talked about goals and thinking the desire outcome and so , i almost forgot to mention an important point.
Your next goal is not to learn a computer language.You next goal is to learn about pointers if you are starter.If you achieve that,then your next goal is to learn to combine pointers with the rest you have already learnt.
As may see, goal is not desire.You may have the desire to learn but that is not a goal.
Goal is a step.Truth is that space-time is quite different than the present in the outcome of a desire and so it is pretty much not believable, so it is not achievable because a lot of variables will be changed in that future and one of these variables is consciousness .Remember it is the unconscious that matters.
And remember also that is your human nature.That is almost a law.We daydream only about the outcome of our desire most of the time and we do not think about the steps we need to go through.
The last thing i want to mention and maybe the most important of all is the will to learn and the will to accept change.
If you do not have these ones 100 percent each time then your goal is to simply have both of them 100 percent and then put your next goal to your mind.You need to accept that you are a noob(BUT WORTHY).You need to accept that you do not know what you do not know.You know nothing.The obstacle to real change is thinking someone that he has learnt almost everything.He may read and read books , he may do some excercises but he will never change.He will never change unless he accepts his dumbness.
Again that works in the unconscious also.It is essential to change it.
And a small secret here.That dumbness is what separates a master from a simple human.Most people think that they are awake, think that the world is just like they think in their consciousness that it is,think that they are too clever.Well that simply means that they are asleep.See yourself as you really are,see not the self-image of your self that others created for you.Remember,that is also a Mass Control Technique.And if a man keeps on thinking what he is thinking and he does not achieve what he wants to achieve because he is not changing/evolving then on his deathbed let him only blame himself about his "failures" and if he still thinks in his own terms about life then let him know he was a sucker all his life.

Well that is all about what i think and the ideas the worked/works for me.I am not a self-help guru,i am not an expert , but what i do know is that i have achieved most of my desires.And i say most because on the way of achieving them i found more and more.There are lots of authors there/self gurus that have achieved almost nothing except that they make some seminars and they have money because of that.Well that gives me nothing.
