I have to learn Francais because of schools in the next 3 years, I have one advice: When you know enough words to read books in that language try reading regulary. I read 1 english book per Week normally and I donA t know how good my English skills are from the native speaker sight but IA m the best in my class since last year after I starded this habit.

I recommend you www.livemocha.com a great site for learning languages.

Think of it as facebook but for learning new languages :D

I second ChidoOne's suggestion. Livemocha has people online who will be ready to help you if you have any problems. It may not be as advanced as Rosetta Stone or Pimsleur or other similar things, but it is fun to learn that way.

hey , how is everyone,
In relation to learning languages , I find the michel thomas method very useful,
I also recomend you work on developing your memory as u will need to store your vocab in your head (for memory improvement i would suggest domminic o brien,s Quantum memory power and brians tracy,s accelarated learning product , both available at smv?)

A good tip i use is when when learning vocab i put different tenses and genders in differnt areas of the city town, etc, so it avoids confusion so u know what tense the word is as well as the word.
remember most europen languages originate from the same group indo-european langauges,
so u have so u have a link straight away (for non-european languages its a bit more but the connections are there.

next i would get a recording of a native spaker and u record yourself and check later to see how arcurate u are and adjust acordingly.(here i would download the top 1000 words of that language and learn them and use to have a working vocab, and then i speak or imagine speaking to a native speaker .

The region of the brian responsible for langauge is broc,s area

And always ask yourself at the begining of each language learning session , what to want to have achived at the end of each session, and what is my reason for doing this ,

always brianstrom and review at the begining and end of each session as this make the brian more alert and lets u know what u know and what gaps still exist in your knowledge.

Tony Buzan , says u should review a topic immediately, 1 hour , 1 week , 1 month intervals for it to stay permentaly in your memory,(all this stuf will be explained in the two programmes i recomened)

I have more tips u want me to put them here just ask.

I hope this has helped,
