Knowing what you really want?
I want to be great, I just don't know what I want to do. I'm convinced that there's nothing I can't do if I'm willing to put in the work, and I'm willing.
Are there any book recommendations or advice any of you have on finding what you really want?

Re: Knowing what you really want?
So how's it going? Have you already figured out what you really want in your life? It's almost 5 months now and you can update us if you've already found an answer to your question.
Personally, before looking for some external advice, I'd rather look into myself (really know myself better), like your strengths and weaknesses, interests, talents--for if you already know these areas in your life, I'm sure it won't be difficult to find what what really drives you.
Then, I'll ask some of my closest pals and family about what they think about me.
Hope that helps.
Good luck,
Amy

Hi Amy,
Almost exactly a year later now. Somehow a search got me back to this thread... random.
My idea of wanting has changed a lot since then. I realized that just about everything I think I want is either a) something I don't actually want or b) holding me back from getting it as a result of being too goal oriented (outcome dependent) as opposed to enjoying the process and being outcome independent.
I trust that when I'm being my best self that everything external I could desire will come. Sort of like law of attraction manifestation kind of stuff except without all the vibrations and weirdness. Just self trust.
It's been tough letting go of outcomes and goals, and I fluctuate in and out of being outcome dependent, but it's been for the best.
What you said about looking internally is exactly right. External things can make life more interesting, but nothing besides yourself should be needed to make you feel good.
