Iron Man (MOVIE)

Post by MndFChstr on Mon May 05, 2008 12:50 pm

Anybody see Iron Man
I saw it last night and immediately thought about SMV.
The film itself is quite watchable. It suffers towards the end.
But the message and the lifestyle of Tony Stark fits in perfectly with the one many members of this forum are looking for.

I watched in. In cinema - and was annoyed again at how expensive it has become in all the lifeless big cinemas.

The movie was pretty nice, though. It could have gone on for a lot longer, plus, he neve noticed that very attractive colleague of his !! And then, it might have had more of a happy end.. plus, it was a bit unrealistic - yeah, just like all the other superhero movies, I suppose. ;)

Mind you, talking about his lifestyle: he finally gets weary of it, once he discovers there is a real world outside. So what to say Just skip the step of becoming superrich and immediately grow weary of it. ;) Now, truely, that is what some great teachers say as well.. you will not find happyness in an outer source, unless you are completely happy with yourself. And then, why search elsewhere

Ok, very philosophical discussion about a Hollywood movie.. ;)

I think you grow weary of being rich if you lose your purpose, which is what happened to him in the movie. He had no real motive or drive until he found something to fight for. This gave him purpose and he began to take action towards it by building the suit.

I think it is easy enough to be rich and unhappy. Or poor and happy.

Mind you, being rich and happy probably is nicer. :)

I just mean, the two things are seperate. Which proably one can only find out once one has reached it.

But dont get me wrong, money can certainly help. For example, you can buy yourself health. And health can be important to happyness.
