I just needed a new life. And HELL...it feels sooo good :D
So I'm sitting here, smoking a nice spliff and just enjoying my "new life".
What's it about Here's the story.
- well it got longer than I thought but well if ya care to read it, go ahead, thx
I lived in Germany for 24 years - I am 24 so yeh - I had a job I really really loved. I worked as event technician
for a little event management agency. So I would set-up lighting + sound equipment and would be the sound engineer
at big Drum&Bass, Dancehall parties/events. As a Drum&Bass Producer + DJ, what better job can you get
See how it looks just to perfect on the first glaze Righto!
The pay was miserable so I even had to move back to my parents and leave the flat I used to rent with my girlfriend.
Things were about to break apart. I worked about 70 hours a week so I didn't have time at all to keep up with my
music nor with my girl so yes, we broke up. I was with her for 4 years and really loved her.
Well, after struggling with myself not knowing what to do,
I just bought a one-way-ticket to London and booked in a hostel. Best idea EVER!!!
Ok, I admit that if you're planning on looking for a job a hostel isn't really the best choice but on the other hand
it's soooo much fun. There's so many hot - like REALLY HOT - girls from all around the world so I would end up
sitting at Piccadilly Circus the first day just watching chicks and saying to myself: "Now this seems like the right place".
I just enjoyed being in a new country for about 2 weeks and went out almost daily. Someone new would arrive, someone would leave -> always an excuse to go out, haha.
K, back to topic. So I had some really great nights out and really nice experiences with hotties.
Now it was about time to look for a job and a flat of course since the hostel was pretty expensive.
Luckily, I met a girl at the hostel I used to hang out with and she found a cheap flat and called me to tell
me that there's another room available there. So I moved in with her. Actually, I moved in with 5 girls and
one other guy.
I loooove them. This house is so full of great people and we're havin a good time.
So I have a flat. What about the job
Well, I ended up selling Ice Cream in some cinema. It was the WORST job I had in my life. It was a boring, stupid job and the only thing that kept me in this place was the staff. These were the coolest people I ever met. No matter if at work or while going out - we all always had a good time and I made new friends again.
One day tho, the job didn't pay good at all, I thought : "well, this is so NOT why I came here!"
What to do Quit!
I quit and hunted for jobs on the internet........what should I work hmmmm.. shit!
Let's just go for charity fundraising - *uh, right*
After applying for some jobs and getting some interview invitations I didnt approach cos I was looking for a "good" job,
FINALLY
I found almost the same job as the one I did back in Germany. Just with like 250% more POUNDS!! lol
Today was my first day at this work and I fuckin love it!
I don't mind working unsocial hours so I keep workin as much as I can.
So many things happened in 2 months. It's incredible!
I dated so many girls or picked them up in the clubs. It's almost paradise.
The spliff is dead and I'm gettin hungry so I'll head to Tesco's and grab some food + a beer prolly.
Looking forward to a week of work and a date with another girl, I say thanks for reading this.
Maybe some of you had or have similar thoughts about just getting out of the common environment
and taking a new challenge. After talking with many people from like everywhere who came here
and built up a life, all I can say is: Go for it!
Cheers, innit

Not everybody would be able to do this:
leave behind their past life and create a new one from beginning.
Respect!
PS If you want something, you will achieve it

yeah, getting up and into something completely different.. havent gotten around it yet, but dreaming about it.. just yesterday again, when I watched "Le Proffesional" with Belmondo, one of my most favourite movies.. making me want to see the world.. and being tough.
Anyhow, I had some (5% of yours) similar experience in hostels around the world, this is certainly a place to be at..
Hope things continue to work out for you, friend!!!
