How to sustainably destory the human ego?
I now understand that my own ego is something that over and over again comes in my way to my dream life. As I grow and become more experienced in recognizing my ego and alter my thoughts to disempower it, I found that my ego has become more sophisticated in disguising thoughts produced by it.
An example of a thought produced by my ego with a more sophisticated disguise: "I managed to conquer my ego and now I am a free person surrounded by approval junkies".
How to sustainably disempower or destroy my ego?
Or will this thing in my brain accompany me all my life, becoming more sophisticated and harder to recognize?
I have read about people consciously taking drugs with the intention to gain an enlightening experience or even transfer their mind to another dimension where they receive a key learning experience. What do you think about this approach?

The ego has it's good and bad parts, a very bad part is when you act like a total jerk with the "I'm the s**t attitude" with people or when your ego distort reality to feel like the world revolves around you.
And here are the good parts of the ego:
+ It gives us confidence to do more difficult tasks (thus steeping out of our comfort zone and thus expanding it)
+ Keeps you away from being manipulated by other people, when it says: "Why am i doing so much for this person that already has a lot, and i get nothing in return?"
+ Keeps your life in balance (the ego has an opposite to it too, so you will go into the other extreme)
You might consider that you've destroyed your ego (if you actually manage this), but it could lead to drastically effects like it's showed in Jim Carrey's movie: "Me, Myself and Irene"
A lot of people succeeded with the help of their ego, it's like fire, it can burn you or make your life better, use it wisely
