I've recently resigned from my corporate job and actively searching for ways to start-up an E-Commerce business.

Do any members on this forum have experience launching an E-Commcerce website?

Yes, doing business online ,there are many points need pay attention including what you said.

starting a successful online business ,first it needs a website and do the social media to promote the ranking to attrack visitors and customers .

While I agree with you, that to start you need visitors, I believe there is a big difference in having 10.000 visits on your website with 30 potential customers and having 100 page visits with 60 potential customers.

So I would do it this way...
1) find niche
2) build website - depending on business it might be skipped
3) do research on where people who might be interested in your product/services group
