Post by thepine1 on Fri Jan 22, 2010 11:46 am

Hey guys and girls

I;ve been reading up on learning on setting goals and figured smart goals are the most effective, but im having trouble writing one up. I mainly want to use one for my college this year does anyone have any examples of smart goals ?

Thanks in advance

Here is what i think you should do:
Define your dream, write it down, then write your major goals in order to achieve those dreams. After this break those big goals into smaller goals and so on until you consider it's appropriated.
Then for each specific goal make an action plan of what you need to do.

Hmm, smart goals are goals that will benefit you in the long run, for example one of my goals is: Make 100.000 $ this year to obtain financial independence, i have a lot of work, 95% of witch i have no idea, also i made no money on the internet so far :blink:

PS: Set realistic deadlines to do not allow you to procrastinate :wink:

Smart Goals are:

*Specific (always try to put a date and time to it )
* Measurable (always stay accountable and check back on it)
* Agreed to (stay committed)
* Realistic ( It all begin with one step at a time)
*Time-bounded (again try to stay committed to a specific time frame)

You are bang on!defined it wonderfully.going by your definition it is clear a goal which is not smart is not a goal at all.
