Help please. Need to move on.

Post by selfmadejm on Sat Dec 05, 2009 3:16 pm

Hi guys. I need some good audio (NOT BOOKS, DON'T HAVE THE MIND NOW TO READ) about moving on with my life. Audio to help forgive the wife, forget her for good and move on. Sounds too easy but it is not.

Thanks for your time.

In my experience, audios don't really do much to help you forgive. I've had short term success but in the long term, issues will arise again. At least with the programs I've used and I've gone through quite a few in my day.

The one thing I can recommend is the book "Loving what is" by Byron Katie. It's a life changing book and I highly recommend it. I haven't looked for it in audio format yet but I'm sure it's out there.

Good Luck

I wouldn't agree that audio is not good for the long term. It all depends on the kind of audio you listen to and the unique mental makeup of the person listening. Certain things do not work for certain people while others get results using the same things.

Read some good books on getting on in life. I have especially liked Robin Sharma's books, they are good. Try out something in self hypnosis. Allan Gray Wolf's "Inner Child" was good. It is here in SMV someplace.

Ultimately, your progress towards peace and happiness or regress into your painful past depends on your mentality. Why keep thinking negative thoughts, when you can think of so many beautiful, worthwhile things? I know it is easy to say all this, but I have also practised some of these and now I try to think ahead instead of slipping back. I won't say that I have succeeded beyond expectations or that I am having the life of my dreams. But I have travelled quite some distance along the path I want to travel. One of the best ways to forget the past is to involve yourself in some desirable activity, either as a hobby or as work which takes up a lot of your time so that you don't have time for worry. I have tried this too and it has worked.

Wish you a life of peace and progress.

During my learning, I've spent a lot of time with forgiveness. And I've learned that forgiveness is an action but to many it’s just a word. To be able to actually forgive someone takes work because in my experience, many people have lost touch with their ability to truly forgive and let go. It's a similar principle to The Sedona Method which is all about re-learning what you knew as a kid. And that is, it's easy to let go but we as humans have been trained to hold onto pain and tension.

I would recommend the Sedona method (there is an audio out there) but it is my personal belief that “Loving What Is” and doing the process called "The Work" will benefit you far beyond anything else. It's designed to get to the core of why your thoughts are the way they are and transformation just happens. There is no forcing or making it happen with The Work. That's what I love about it. With most processes, when we try to change, we actually resist what is. And when we resist what is, it becomes impossible to truly change. Change happens quickly and easily when it's done properly (on the deeper subconscious levels).

Again, good luck on your journey
