Re: Help: Can`t focus!
As someone who suffered from similar problem a few years back this is what i have to offer you.
1)have a time frame to do things.Remember it takes time for a tree to grow.So also is knowledge. There is a saying in sanskrit " A student learns a quarter of his knowledge from his teacher, a quarter with his own abilities, a quarter from his friends and time teaches him the last quarter".....In your anxiety to learn things if you too overexert yourself for a few days then you have the "overdose syndrome" and dont want to do it anymore.Instead go slow and steady and learn to accept that you will not know everything at any point in time. There is more to know. This leads to a slow but steady inquisitiveness in you which will help you to remain fresh to seek knowledge continually.
2)Do many things-Variety.Rather than learn lets say a subject A fully in one go, learn subject A along with another subject B and C. As you learn different things many times youll see interconnections that spur you to learn more, to unravel the mystery behind some subject(whatever that subject of interest is)....Remember we as humans crave variety. But you seem to jump onto one thing.Refrain from this and enjoy learning more than one thing at a time.
3)Remain ignorant and childlike in your curiosity.this is what has helped me a lot to overcome the problems that you have stated.
Hope the above tips help you.

I need some help. Whenever I want to learn something new, I find myself being very excited about the new information. The problem is that I get excited very fast. So a few days later I find something new and again I m sure that I want to learn this. So I start always learning new things without finishing or without mastering anythingHow can I trick myself to focus on one subject only
I used to be very much the same, a book that helped me to no end was "Mastery" by a man named George Leonard. he was a fighter pilot instructor and Aikido master who did an in depth study on the character traits needed to endure a long learning curve and attain mastery. This book is ausome, summed up it pretty much says that in order to attain mastery you first have to ask what is mastery; "At the heart of mastery is practice, mastery is staying on the path, enjoying the plateu" - George Leonard.
I think this book is vital for anyone undergoing some form of personal mastery, especially in endevours that involve long perriods of time as apposed to instant gratification. Im not sure if it is available on this sight yet i havnt looked, PM if you want it, or ill try and get it up on rapidshare.
