Fear of the unknown, help me get over it

Hey people,
Not sure if I'm posting in the right section please assign it to its correct spot.

I have a fear of the unknown mainly losing a loved one. I've been in a relationship with this girl for over a year and everything is perfect but there have been times where I would feel the fear of losing her from just splitting up or death. I have become very emotionally invested in her and did not notice. My problem is that when i started dating her my motivation sky rocketed and throughout the months of dating. I could balance the world on my shoulders my University grades have gone up because of her, because how happy she makes me feel. My fear of losing her causes me to give up on life, my dreams and my hopes its a really dreadful feeling within me which I cant control at times. I really want to finish university and succeed in my life, but this fear hinders me at times. What can I do ? Has anyone experienced this problem and have can I over come this ?

have you tried EFT (emotional freedom technique) on this issue?.....i'm sure it could help.....there is plenty of material on EFT on this forum.....good luck.....keep us updated.
