Thanks for all your responses. Probably the placebo effect too plays its part here, but I guess there is no harm in trying.

Some would argue that it is precisely the skilled manipulation of the placebo function , which can make hypnosis more effective than drugs. Minimisation of expectation will result in minimisation of results.

If you find a skilled hypnotist, then 'I guess there is no harm in trying' will be an adequate frame of mind for you as a client

If you wish to be a skilled hypnotist, then 'I guess there is no harm in trying' will be totally inadequate

I have very positive experiences in using NLP. I found being consistent in doing it daily is more effective.

I have found that NLP does work , and it works well. Having said that i found , you have to practice it daily. I have overcome major life hurdles in the past 3 years and NLP has helped me ALOT. Look for Anthony Robbins personal power, Lyod Glauberman HPP etc . They are both skilled Hypontists

I can't speak about EFT as I have no experience with it but I know NLP can be a highly effective technique in the right hands.
