Company Background Investigations?? <------ NEED HELP ASAP!

Post by MOConcepts on Mon Oct 20, 2008 5:52 pm

Hiya,

I was wondering if anyone know of a good software, company, or website I could use to do some research on the background history on a company that I would like to invest money or do business with

You may want to start searching who owns the domain by visiting
http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp

May I ask what type of company this is

Usually professional investors use services like Bloomberg ($1800/month) etc
I know that our risk assessment guys usually have access to some "spy" database on companies, which features all financial, business and historic background of the given firm.

But there are as well a couple of free solutions...
If I don't have access to Bloomberg, I usually use google, visit company website, search the news etc. It depends on what kind of info you need...
