I wonder if you maybe have some unresolved traumas or issues from the past that you have suppressed, and this is the reason why you "can't feel" your emotions, because you've pushed them down for so long?
For that I would recommend Sedona Method. Use the search function on the board here. Sedona Method is very similar to EFT but without the tapping sequences -- and it's very simple. For starters I recommend the video series which is located here but out-of-print elsewhere. It's helped countless others release (this is the actual word they use) emotional hang-ups and repression/suppression (as well as overemotional expression) to find a more balanced experience and accepting way of life.
I was horribly abused as a child and tend to fluctuate from either crying explosions or total lack of emotional affect, and now a lot of these hang-ups are manifesting as "writer's block." I only watched video 1 thus far, but in working with even that one I noticed an immediate improvement. As with anything else, it takes practice, but once you get the steps of what to do, you're more than halfway to building emotional security and "imperturbability," as they use the word. Not icy-cold steel, but a sort of inexplicable calm that actually prevents one's problems from causing him/her to develop the icy-cold steel "unfeeling" sense they often describe as "numb."
Give Sedona Method a try if you haven't already, and see how it works. If you can, you really should work through all 8 clip segments. The holidays are coming up for me, and I think rather than bothering with the Christmas phoniness in my family I'll watch some Sedona clips instead. Good luck
